I did it!

Okay so my surgery was earlier today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I arrived at the surgery center around 11:15ish but wasn't called back until about 12:00ish. When I went into the back to get prepped, I quickly changed and relaxed in a big comfy chair!..Joyce hooked me up to an IV to give me some anti nausea medicine, but all of the sudden I started to feel faint. The nurses were great though! They immediately applied cold compresses to my face and made me feel a lot better. After that, my sister and both of my parents came to visit me one last time before I was wheeled off into the operating room! The time finally came where I was escorted into the OR. When I walked into the OR the first thing I saw were my before pictures. Dr. Guyuron marked each picture with the changes that he hoped to achieve. Finally, the anesthesiologists, one of which is a family friend, were awesome and helped me up onto the operating table. Honestly, once I hopped onto the table, I was out. I don't remember a thing! All of the sudden I remember waking up, but I couldn't see because I had cold compresses on my eyes to reduce the swelling. According to my sister, Jenn, I was pretty out of it after the surgery. She found it humorous! :P It's all a bit fuzzy, but I recall my mom feeding me Lorna Doone cookies and Ginger Ale! The surgery itself took about 2 1/2 hours. After about two hours of resting, I was able to leave! So far, I haven't had much pain, if any at all. My family has taken great care of me and I'm not even swollen!...for now. I do have dark bruises under my eyes, but that's about it! I have a post-op appointment early tomorrow morning. My mom and Mike will be taking me there :) I will post a few pictures of myself coming out of surgery tomorrow.
